Diploma in Information Technology

Applicants need

Passed SEE/Grade 10 or Equivalent Examination
Must have secured at least Second Division (Minimum 45%)

Minimum C Grade in Each Subject
For students from the letter grading system, must have obtained minimum ‘C’ grade in each subject of Grade 10
For A-Level students, minimum ‘D’ grade in each subject

Geomatics Engineering

Applicants need

SEE or Equivalent Examination Passed
Must have secured at least Second Division (Minimum 45%)
Minimum C Grade in Each Subject

For those under the letter grading system, must have obtained minimum ‘C’ grade in all subjects of Grade 10 (SEE)

<p>Before appearing in the entrance examination, students should prepare thoroughly according to the stream they are applying for. For +2 in Science, focus on Mathematics, Science, and English; for +2 in Management, prepare Mathematics, English, and General Knowledge. For Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) and Diploma in Geomatics Engineering, revise key topics from Mathematics, Science, and English based on your SEE curriculum. Study your textbooks, practice sample questions, and revise important formulas and concepts. On exam day, carry your admit card, necessary stationery, and valid ID, and reach the exam center on time. A focused mind, proper planning, and disciplined revision will help you succeed in the entrance exam and secure admission in your desired program.</p>

<p>The entrance examination is a compulsory selection process for admission into +2 programs (Science and Management) and Diploma level programs such as Information Technology (DIT) and Geomatics Engineering. The purpose of the exam is to assess the academic foundation, aptitude, and readiness of students for their chosen stream.</p><p>The exam generally includes multiple-choice and short-answer questions from subjects relevant to the program:</p><p>- For +2 Science: Mathematics, Science, and English</p><p>- For +2 Management: Mathematics, English, and General Knowledge</p><p>- For DIT &amp; Geomatics Engineering: Mathematics, Science, and English</p><p>The total marks, pass marks, time duration, and question format may vary depending on the institution's guidelines. Students must obtain the minimum qualifying marks to be eligible for final admission. This exam ensures fair competition and helps maintain academic standards across all programs.</p>

<p>The results of the entrance examination will be published on the official notice board and the institution’s website within 7 to 10 days after the exam date. Candidates are advised to check their results carefully and keep the score sheet safe for future admission processes. Only those who meet or exceed the minimum qualifying marks will be eligible for admission. In case of any discrepancies or queries regarding the result, students should contact the admission office within 5 working days of the result announcement.</p>
